Honda Malaysia upgrades Insurance Plus (HiP) plan – Why bother with anything else?

KUALA LUMPUR:  You never know what's going to happen to your vehicle, which is why Honda Malaysia has introduced the upgraded Honda Insurance Plus (HiP), an enhanced automotive insurance plan designed exclusively for Honda owners. The new HiP package was created to provide a comprehensive protection plan for Honda owners, which includes three significant benefits: unlimited mileage towing, a 100% payout for vehicles up to 15 years old, and 100% coverage on accidental repairs with no betterment for up to 13 years.

The upgraded HiP package is structured around three core pillars: Rescue, Protection, and Savings, offering extended coverage and benefits.

Rescue:

The new HiP plan helps you if your car breaks down, gets into an accident, or is caught in a flood. You can get your car towed for free, no matter how far it is. If your car needs a quick fix by the side of the road, like for a flat tire, Honda will cover the labor cost up to RM200 each time. Just call the HiP Emergency Assistance at 1-800-18-1177, and they will help you anytime, day or night.

Protection:

If you need to get your car fixed at an official Honda repair shop, you can get approval for repairs up to RM30,000 very quickly. All the parts used will be genuine Honda parts, and the repairs will come with a six-month or 10,000 km warranty. If you have an accident and get hurt, the plan will cover personal accident costs up to RM15,000.

Savings:

If your car gets stolen or is too damaged to fix after an accident, the HiP plan will pay you the full agreed value of your car for up to 15 years after you bought it. This is better than the previous plan, which only covered up to 13 years. Also, for 13 years, any damaged parts will be replaced with new, original Honda parts without any extra charges.
