KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that Isuzu Malaysia opened up its new 3S centre with the brand’s latest retail outlet design and now Honda too has added a new 3S Centre to its lineup. Seems like automakers are working hard to expand their network and market reach.

Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on the opening up of its new 3S service centre said, “The opening of this new 3S Centre with facility expansion is timely to meet increasing demand and customer needs. I am confident that this new Honda 3S Centre can provide enhanced after-sales service to our customers in Kuching and further elevate the customer satisfaction.”

Honda’s new 3S Centre is located at Petra Jaya which will serve customers residing in the north and south of the Sarawak River. The new dealership will be Honda’s 14th dealership in East Malaysia and will therefore enhance its dealership network in the region.

As per Honda’s sales record, the East Malaysia region showcased an encouraging sales performance and contributed 5 percent to the automaker’s sales from January to September 2022.

On the subject, Yoshimura said, “This year, the East Malaysia region has recorded encouraging sales performance, and contributed 5 percent to Honda Malaysia total sales from January to September 2022. Out of the 5 percent sales contribution, Sarawak is the highest contributor with 3 percent. The City is the most sought-after model in Sarawak, contributing 22 percent to the total state sales in the region.

He further added, “The All-New HR-V which was launched in July 2022 has also received an overwhelming response in Sarawak, with over 200 units sold in the state. I would like to thank all Honda customers in the East Malaysia region for their trust and support for the Honda brand.”

Honda’s new 3S Centre in East Malaysia: Key details

• The new 3S centre is opened by Northmont Capital Sdn. Bhd. (Northmont Capital) with an investment of approximately RM 15 million
• It is the biggest Honda 3S Centre in Kuching sitting on 4,711 square-metre of land with a total build-up area of 2,339 square metres
• It houses 12 service bays, 3 general repair bays, and 1 tyre service bay

• The centre can service up to 50 cars each day
• The centre is equipped with a variety of amenities including a kid’s corner, comfortable lounges, and complimentary Wi-Fi services
• The dealership also offers car wash services, tyre alignment & balancing service, vehicle air conditioning service, and road tax renewal & insurance coverage renewal services
