Honda Malaysia has a strong post-COVID recovery plan

KUALA LUMPUR: The entire pandemic scenario has been pretty daunting for all of us, including the automobile industry. However, with things getting back on path along with the current National Recovery Plan (NRP) put in place by the government, automakers are planning their respective comeback.

One such automaker is Honda Malaysia, whose recovery plan includes the launch of several new models, all equipped with Honda's Next Generation Advanced Technology.

Under the current NRP, Honda's Melaka manufacturing plant has started its operation. The same is the case with the automaker's dealerships and showrooms.

The Japanese automaker aims to deliver all its outstanding orders timely without compromising on the quality and safety of its staff.

"We sincerely thank all the frontliners who put their lives on the line to save people and protect the health and safety of Malaysians. With their dedication and everybody's cooperation, we believe better days will be here again. The first half of 2021 was challenging due to the extended lockdown and uncertainties after seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases," said Honda Malaysia Managing Director & CEO, Ms. Madoka Chujo.

He further added, "In our plans to regain the momentum and set a new benchmark in the market, Honda Malaysia has lined up new models that feature Honda's Next Generation Advanced Technology to be launched in the coming months. These launches will provide Malaysians with more new model options during the current sales tax exemption period, which has been extended to 31st December 2021."

In addition to its new 2021 lineup, Honda Malaysia is also running its September Special Benefits promo that'll last until September 10th, 2021, wherein customers can discount up to RM 6,000 and more.
