Honda launches Jazz Mugen and BR-V Limited Edition models in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has released two limited edition models with only 300 units each being produced. The models in question are the Jazz Mugen and BR-V Limited Edition.
Up first is the Jazz Mugen Limited Edition. This remains fairly similar to the show car Honda displayed at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS). It is derived from the Grade V Jazz variant with a number of additions. Exterior changes include a Mugen body kit with a new front aero bumper. The bumper has LED fog lamps, and a distinct three-hole cut out for the DRLs on the lower portion. Do note that only two holes are used instead of three for the DRLs. Unlike the KLIMS concept which shod on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the final edition Jazz Mugen wears the same 16-inch design found in the regular Grade V version.
The Mugen logo is also abundant around the exterior being found on places like the front grille, side skirts, tailgate spoiler, rear mid-mounted spoiler extension, and rear bumper extension. Apart from these changes, all other specifications remain the same for the Mugen as the Grade V variant. This includes the 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine which makes 120 PS and 145Nm of torque mated to a CVT. Standard features include leather seats, six airbags, touch-panel AC controls, and a 6.8-inch touchscreen.
The BR-V Limited Edition is also based on the Grade V variant of the regular BR-V, but it has a few extra features. Visual enhancements include side running boards, side step garnish, and tailgate spoiler. On the inside, the 6.1-inch infotainment screen on the Grade V is replaced by a 6.8-inch unit. The interface on this unit does seem to be different from the one found in the Jazz and City. Other standard features include leather upholstery, automatic climate control with rear vents, dual front airbags, keyless entry and start, reverse camera, Vehicle Stability Assist, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The engine in the BR-V Limited Edition is the same as the one on the Jazz Mugen.
Two color options will be offered for the Jazz Mugen Limited Edition. These include Modern Steel Metallic costing RM 88,600 and White Orchid Pearl for RM 88,720.
The BR-V Limited Edition will set you back by RM 90,700 for the Red Pearl color, or you can get the White Orchid Pearl for an extra RM 300.
