Honda Jazz facelift revealed in India, 1.5L diesel mill axed
KUALA LUMPUR: While we are about to receive the all-new Honda City, India has got its share of treat from the Japanese automaker. Honda India lineup now includes the updated Jazz hatchback that comes with a fair share of revisions both inside and outside. Let’s now check out the Jazz facelift model and all that it has to offer.
Honda Jazz facelift variants & price-
The updated Jazz is offered in six variants - V MT, VX MT, ZX MT, V CVT, VX CVT, and ZX CVT. The ZX trim (both MT and CVT) is a brand new inclusion in the range. The company has also revised the prices with each variant costing a little more than the pre-facelift model.
The facelift Jazz price range starts from INR 750,000 (approx. RM 42,646) and goes up to INR 974,000 (approx. RM 55,383).
New Honda Jazz design updates -
The facelifted model sure looks different, or shall we say better when compared to the previous version. The new Jazz design now includes a revised grille, new LED headlamps with daytime running lights, a spoiler bumper, and new LED front fog lamps. The hatchback now stands on 15-inch alloy wheels that look stylish. At the back, the car features LED tail lamps.
New Honda Jazz cabin inclusions -
Like before, Jazz has an inviting cabin adorned with comforting features. Over and above the previous model, the new Jazz gets an electric sunroof. Carried over from the pre-facelift model is a - 7-inch touch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, multi-functional steering wheel, and keyless entry push-button start/stop, electrically folding ORVM, and voice command function.
New Honda Jazz powertrain -
Unlike the previous model, the new Jazz is offered with only one engine option - a 1.2-litre i-VTEC mill, which as per Indian-norms, is BS6-compliant. This mill generates a maximum power of 90 PS and a peak torque of 110 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and CVT.
New Honda Jazz safety kit includes dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, and rear parking sensors. The hatch is offered in five exterior colour tones - Blonde Brown, Radiant Red, Morden Steal, Luna Silver, and Platinum Silver.
With Japan getting the all-new 2020 Jazz and Jazz Crosstar, and India receiving the Jazz facelift, we wonder if there’s something new in stock for the Malaysian market. We hope there is, however, for now, our eyes are on the 2020 City.
