Here’s your first sneak peek at 2023 Honda CR-V interior

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda unveiled a new teaser of the upcoming 2023 CR-V, which tells us that not only the exterior but the interior of the SUV also gets a significant overhaul. The sporty and modern cabin incorporates premium craftsmanship, upscale touches, and even more space as detailed by the automaker. Let’s dive deeper and know the new features in detail.

• The sixth-gen Honda CR-V sports a new dashboard with a honeycomb-patterned insert running all the way from the three-spoke steering wheel to the passenger door.
• A freestanding infotainment system just like the new Civic that presumably offers a 7- and 9-inch display.

• An updated fully digital instrument panel featuring one view simulating analogue gauges. While there is no word on its display size, it appears more prominent than the 10.25-inch screen available on the Civic.
• A larger central console, allowing the gear lever to be arranged alongside the hill descent control, electronic parking brake and drive mode buttons.
• A Bose sound system with branding on the A-pillar-mounted tweeters.
• A dual-zone automatic climate control with new vents
• A Qi wireless charger compartment and a huge storage console, just like its predecessor.
• As for seating, the cabin is equipped with large leather-wrapped seats featuring orange stitching and a dimpled texture.

That’s all we can figure out from the 2023 Honda CR-V’s new interior teaser. As for the exterior, the previously revealed images hinted at a more rugged front bumper, a large hexagonal grille, L-shaped tail lights and a streamlined boot lid.

In terms of mechanical changes, the upcoming CR-V will get a more powerful e:HEV hybrid powertrain for “a sportier driving experience and more capability.” Apart from that, the 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine is likely to be continued with a performance boost. As for reference, the ongoing mill generates a maximum power of 193 PS and a peak torque of 242 Nm.

Honda will reveal more details on the 2023 Honda CR-V on July 12, with the launch expected to happen in the US this summer.
