KEY TAKEAWAYS
When will the 11th-generation Honda Accord launch?
After next month’s global debut, the 11th-generation Honda Accord will launch in 2023.What does the new Honda Accord teaser reveal?
In the first official teaser, Honda previews the front, rear, and infotainment unit of the upcoming Accord.Compared to the previous version, the 2023 Accord boasts a smoother design language that appears in line with the brand’s other recent models like the Civic and the Prologue EV. While the front fascia features a redesigned hexagonal grille edged by slim headlamps, the rear flaunts the new LED tail lights stretched across the entire width of the car with a small Honda logo in the middle.
Alongside revealing the exterior shots, the Japanese automaker also spilled some beans about the interior. The sedan will have the brand’s largest touchscreen ever measuring 12.3-inch in size, which will be mated to the built-in Google connectivity for the first time. Integration with Google services indicates the availability of in-vehicle apps, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and more.
What else we can decode from the 2023 Honda Accord teaser is a hexagonal mesh pattern across the dashboard reminiscent of the latest Civic, a small volume knob positioned under the screen, and a digital instrument panel.
On the mechanical part, Honda has confirmed a more responsive hybrid powertrain for the upcoming sedan with no mention of the petrol mill. However, the latter is expected to find its way on the lower-spec iterations. Looking at the ongoing powertrains specs, the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol delivers a maximum power of 187 hp while the 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder paired with an electric motor makes 212 hp and 315 Nm.
