Haval revealed 2018 H4, mid-size SUV exclusive to the Chinese market
KUALA LUMPUR: A new mid-size SUV is currently making rounds in China, and as the reports suggest it’ll restrict itself to the dragon country. We are talking about the all-new 2018 Haval H4 whose images were released by the company earlier today.
Seeing the limited images the all-new H4, it sure looks appealing and is a car we’ll crave to have, but unfortunately, the chances are scares. The 2018 H4 design language is based on the HR-02 concept that was introduced by the company way back in 2016.
Following which, this car features a smart exterior of which an extended hood, large grille, sleek headlight, star-shaped alloy wheels, chrome roof rails, wraparound taillights, and rear roof spoiler are an integral part.
Further working on its athletic stance is its proportionate dimension spec that reads 4420 mm in length, 1845 mm in width, and 1695 mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2660 mm, the H4 cabin is spacious and offers an impressive leg-room.
Step inside the cabin, and you’ll be greeted by a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is followed by retro style utility knobs. The flowy central tunnel adds to the interior look and features a leather-wrapped transmission system followed by multiple storage spaces. The driver’s arena looks equally impressive and features a four-spoke steering with ergonomically placed controls.
Powering the all-new Haval H4 are two petrol mills. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine produces a maximum output of 139 PS and 225 Nm. Those looking for more trill can opt for the 1.5-litre turbo engine with 169 PS and 285 Nm of power and torque figure respectively.
Attention has been paid to strengthen the H4's safety kit. The compact SUV comes with the Lane-Departure Warning system, Tire-Pressure Monitoring, Lane Change Assists, 360-degree camera system, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Haval H4 is available in two variants options - Blue Label and Red Label. Both with some significant differences in the front and rear styling.
As for now, we can enjoy the car only in pictures and hope to see it making a debut in Malaysia in the near future.
