KUALA LUMPUR: With the launch of the X90 MHEV (mild-hybrid electric vehicle), Proton has taken its first step towards embracing the eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transportation. Moving further on this path, the national automaker is now geared up for the launch of the smart EV brand in Malaysia.

    Here comes the latest update on the same. Pro-Net has just announced its first authorised dealer for selling smart EVs in Malaysia, which is Hap Seng Smart Sdn. Bhd. It is a subsidiary of Hap Seng Group, which operates several Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Malaysia with more than 50 years of experience in the automotive industry.

    Hap Seng has planned to open its first smart outlet at Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, during the fourth quarter of this year, with another outlet to follow in Balakong, Selangor.

    “Pro-Net believes automotive excellence is more than creating the best vehicles. It also means providing a seamless and comprehensive retail customer journey and experience. The new dealership marks Pro-Net’s entry into the premium retail automotive market, as well as the latest EV market in Malaysia,” said Zhang Qiang, CEO of Pro-Net.
