KUALA LUMPUR: Seems like the Chinese are not as far behind in building safe cars as one might think. GMW, a Chinese auto brand, has time and again delivered cars with high safety ratings. Now, adding to the list is the Haval H6 Hybrid that after the H6 petrol variant has secured a 5-star rating by the Australian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP).

    A little detail on the Haval H6 Hybrid model -

    The Haval H6 Hybrid model is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo engine coupled with a 130 kW e-motor. Together the two pump out a maximum power of 243 PS along with a peak torque of 530 Nm. The drive is sent to the front wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission with two gears.

    The Haval H6 Hybrid model retails for THB 1,149,000 (approx. RM 142,000) in Thailand, making it the most expensive model in the company’s lineup.
