Fourth generation Ford Galaxy CD390 launched - Better than ever!

Ford, the American giant has unveiled the latest facelift of its MPV Galaxy CD390. This is the fourth facelift in succession of the discontinued third generation, the production of which was stopped by the end of 2014. The redesigned CD390 is an example of the latest example of global design platform of Ford blessed with a sleek grille and slim headlamps up front.

Coming to the engine options Ford Galaxy CD390 comes packing a power network which with TDCi 2.0-litre twin turbo unit delivers a power output measuring 210 PS alongside 450 Nm torque. In the single variable geometry the 2.0-litre TDCi turbodiesel engine brings forth varying power outputs which can measure 120 PS, 150 PS or 180 PS on the power output mark, the revamped mill on 2.0-litre TDCi features a new engine block, new designs for fuel injection and a revised cylinder head, also there is provision for a neat NOX exhaust trap after-treatment.

The petrol variants on the other hand fulfill the configuration of 160 PS 1.5-litre EcoBoost and 240 PS 2.0-litre EcoBoost. For tech support, this 7-seater MPV is blessed with Auto Start/Stop, Active Grille Shutter and Smart Regenerative Charging, this actually increments the aerodynamics of the drive and in turn optimizes the airflow level to help in the engine cooling.

The new Galaxy also comes with aluminum lower control arms (light weight) which, with the new integral-link suspension system on the chassis increments the ride quality and handling from beneath. There are many chassis modes including Comfort, Normal or Sport. Adding on to the list of achievements is EPAS (electronic power assisted steering) which has been introduced in a Galaxy for the first time ever. The interior, is flushed with chrome and sports a touchscreen display head(10-inch optional). The overall appeal of this ride seems futuristic to say the least.
