Ford Mustang Mach-E sold out or not?
KUALA LUMPUR: For making its debut in the electric cars segment, Ford chose its most iconic badge Mustang, which is ready to hit the market. Now, tt’s been four months since the firm pulled the covers of Mustang Mach-E. In the matter of its booking numbers, Ford remains quiet while the market speculates that all the Mustang Mach-E are sold out now.
According to Ford, “Customer reservation numbers for Mustang Mach-E are not sequential production numbers. We are not sharing detail on total numbers of reservations at this time other than that the limited edition First Edition reservations bank is full and we expect around 50,000 global sales of Mach-E in the first 12 months of production. All other derivatives remain available to order.”
In this context, MachEClub.com revealed that the total reservations for the Mach-E have surpassed 50,000. Although Ford has not released an official tally, the Mach-E enthusiast community has been keeping track. Ford has officially stated that the first year of production of Mach-E is limited to 50,000 units for all markets globally.
Though it is a good number, the Tesla models including Model 3, Model Y booking numbers were too high. Also, the Cybertruck bookings have clocked 5,00,000 mark. The refundable amount on the booking of Mustang Mach-E is just $500 while in the case of Cybertruck, it is just $100.
