Ford EcoSport SUV has been Enhanced Significantly

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ford EcoSport has been enhanced considerably for the Continent that has not captured the market yet. The car is now available in the market to order, the compact SUV is in the market with 'sophisticated styling upgrades', driving dynamics and new equipment are improved for huge convenience and comfort.

Lookwise, the car for the first time was there without a rear-mounted spare wheel, probably as sophisticated markets are not in the rough look as the original one tried to represent. Cars, which are specifically defined without spare wheel will receive a tyre mobility kit, and an upgraded design for the rear swing-gate for simpler access to the boot.

The new partial seats are offered as standard on Titanium models inside, which feature high quality stuff. Availability of privacy glass is for shorten levels, while rear seat ventilation is added by the Winter Pack at ground level to enhance comfort for rear passengers in cold weather.

The dash has a black lower instrument panel, centre console and door boards, although the instrument cluster is featuring a light dimming function and chrome rings to meet the electric window switches. Models connected with SYNC voice-controlled connectivity system of Ford feature a four-inch colour display in the centre console. Position of the handbrake lever has been optimised in a manner that it can be used and reached easily.

Vibration, noise and harshness levels have been minimized also with thicker insulation materials in the dashboard and doors, as well as tighter seals around the pedals for more concentrated experience. Engine and gearbox matching has been updated to provide more low speed torque and best drivability.

There are some changes under hood also. The 1.5 litre TDCi engine now provides 95 PS, a 5 PS improvement and provides 4.4 litres per 100 km fuel consumption in the NEDC. The 125 PS 1.0 litre EcoBoost brings 5.4 L/100 km, while the 1.5 litre Ti-VCT naturally aspirated engine provides 6.3 L/100 km. Euro 6 emissions standards are fulfilled by all engines.
