KUALA LUMPUR: As promised, Ford has launched the all-new Capri EV. The iconic nameplate made a comeback after several years as a mid-size electric crossover, after being sold as a two-door coupe in the 1960s-1980s.

Platform: The Capri EV is based on the VW Group’s MEB platform which gives the car the benefit of both AWD and RWD drivetrain.
Exterior looks: In terms of styling, the Capri EV pays homage to the classic Capri styling. A few of its key exterior highlights include - signature four-headlamps with Dynamic Matrix LED and Glare-Free High Beam technology, a coast-to-coast grille, swooping coupe roofline, four-piece tail lamps, 19-, 20-, and 21-inches wheels, and lastly it comes in an attractive Vivid Yellow colour.
Interior fit & finish: The EV showcases a minimalist and digital cabin with a wrap-around cockpit that integrates the instrument panel and the doors as a single unit. It includes several impressive tech and comforting features like - e a 10-speaker B&O sound system with a soundbar and subwoofer, ambient lighting with 10 different colours, massage driver's seats, sporty seats with integrated headrests, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, keyless entry & start, and a hands-free tailgate.
Battery pack: The Capri EV is offered in two variant options, an AWD and a RWD. The former gets a 77 kWh battery pack delivering a maximum power output of 337 bhp and the latter again gets a 77 kWh battery pack but here it offers 280 bhp. The battery offers a range of 627 km.
