First-ever Proton Digital Xperience centre opens in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Proton has come up with a revolutionary concept that aims to transform the way customers explore and engage with Proton cars. The automaker along with ACO Tech (maker of the GKUI infotainment software) has officially launched the Proton Digital Xperience (DX) centre, which is touted as Malaysia's first-ever automotive digital experience centre.

Located in Quill City Mall, Kuala Lumpur, the new Proton DX spans across 5,275 sq ft space with multiple zones, including -

• Virtual Cockpit: Offering a virtual driving experience to visitors within a captivating dome-like enclosure, where they can immerse in the world of smart mobility
• Activity Zone - At this zone, car and technology enthusiasts can enjoy stimulating motion-sensing games with friends and family

• Lifestyle Zone - This zone previews activewear and lifestyle merchandise, which belongs to an existing collaboration between PROTON DX and Joma. The centre will also offer official Proton merchandise shortly
• Aico Cafe - A cosy spot where visitors can relax and enjoy pastries and beverages 

Along with that, the centre also has a special car delivery bay adding a dose of excitement for special customers receiving their new cars.

The centre has been developed by ACO Tech in collaboration with Proton and China Construction Bank. The opening ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Tuan Chang Lih Kang (The Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation). It was witnessed by Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar (Proton Chairman), Dr. Li Chunrong (Proton CEO), Mr. Roslan Abdullah (Proton Deputy CEO), Mr. Li Pu, (ACO Tech CEO), and Mr Wang Qijie (China Construction Bank Malaysia CEO).

We are passionate about providing solutions that enhance the driving experience, to make every drive a good one for Malaysians. Proton DX is one of the platforms that showcases our expertise. This centre offers an immersive space for everyone to learn about the innovative technologies that go into an automobile and at the same time, provide an experience that goes beyond being on the road. In our efforts to lead the smart mobility industry, we hope to make PROTON DX a platform for STEM education. This is part of our commitment to raise the level of technological awareness and knowledge of the nation” said Mr. Li Pu while addressing the audience at the opening ceremony.
