DS7 Crossback to be introduced at KLIMS, will arrive in Malaysia next year

KUALA LUMPUR: DS Automobiles is about to introduce the brand new DS7 Crossback at the upcoming 2018 KLIMS (Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show). The crossover SUV’s public premiere was held in last year’s February. Following that, it was displayed at the 87th Geneva Motor Show.

Answering the Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3, DS Automobiles to bring DS7 Crossback next year; will be displayed at the KLIMS 2018.

The DS7 Crossback features a luxurious interior, which will offer all the comfort on long drives. A 12-inch digital instrument cluster is given inside the cabin and has accompanied it with another display of the same size for the central screen. The second one support MirrorScreen, DS-Connect functionality, and navigation.

The Nappa leather seat upholstery gets a watch strap-like design. A B.R.M R180 clock is placed perfectly between the center air vents, which would close after shutting off the engine. Moreover, a Focal Electra Hi-Fi audio system, having 14 speakers, completes the interior.

The DS7 Crossback is available in four trim customisation themes, which are Performance Line, Opera, Tivoli, and Bastille. All of the trims use the same materials, like wood, Alcantara and leather, but in different ways. The materials are used across the door panels, seats, and the dashboard.

The DS7 Crossback gets LED headlights on the front along with a DS Wings grille. Moreover, the side of the bumper gets LED daytime running lights, which has the beaded stitch design. Also, the vehicle comes with plenty of chrome accents.

The manufacturer has not spoken about the DS7 Crossback. However, the SUV is likely to get a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, THP turbocharged motor, and would be capable of delivering 180 hp or 225 hp of maximum power. An eight-speed automatic gearbox will be provided to handle the transmission duties.

The crossover SUV is likely to arrive at the Malaysian shores next year. Post its launch in the country, it will compete strongly against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLC and BMW X3.
