‘Digital Salesperson’ introduced by Ford - an alternative car buying option
KUALA LUMPUR: The sole distributor of Ford in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto ConnwXion today, i.e., on 27th March 2020, introduced ‘Digital Salesperson’. As can be known from the name, this one is a live WhatsApp chat line dedicated to customer queries related to car purchases. The said campaign will last until 30th June.
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion Managing Director, Sayed Ahmed Muzri Faiz said, “In light of the Movement Control Order being extended until 14th April 2020, we are introducing an alternative method of a ‘Digital Salesperson’ which will allow customers to continue conversing with us via digital means. This comes as we understand that there are customers wanting to purchase our vehicles, but unable to walk into our showrooms during this period.”
He further said that post the Movement Control Order, Ford Malaysia will continue to offer this alternative method, as the company care and understand that its customers might still want to limit public exposure.
The said digital platform will address all the customer queries related to Ford products along with the ongoing sales promotions. It will surely bridge the gap between the customer and their nearest Ford authorized salesperson.
Through the Ford ‘Digital Salesperson’ the customer can get the information about -
- Stock and colour availability
- Ongoing promotions
- Road tax and vehicle registration
- Loan financing options
- Insurance options
Besides, customers will be able to pay the deposit for the car, transact at their convenience, and take full advantage of the festive deals. As for the signing of the loan documents and the Retail Customer Order, it could be done once the Movement Control order is lifted.
Sime Darby Motors, Managing Director for Retail and Distribution, Malaysia, Jeffrey Gan said, “When the Movement Control Order is lifted, we welcome customers who wish to come in person to any of our flagship showrooms located at our latest automotive facility, Sime Darby Motors City at Ara Damansara, as well as our showrooms at other parts of the country. We would like to assure our customers that we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors, which includes practicing social distancing. At certain showrooms, we require all visitors to perform temperatures checks upon entering the premise, in addition to supplying hand sanitiser dispensers located in the showrooms.”
The Ford ‘Digital Salesperson’ will be there to assist the customers from Monday to Friday, between 9 am - 4 pm. All you need to do is add the following WhatsApp number - +6019-204 1200 and start sending in queries that would be addressed within 24 hours.
