Citroen C3 Aircross receives mid-life revisions for 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: In a bid to give its popular crossover, the C3 Aircross, a more assertive design while hiking the comfort and tech levels, Citroen has given it a midlife makeover. So let’s find out what new is done, starting with the car’s exterior.

The Nissan Juke rival now benefits from an updated front end that seems to be inspired by the automaker’s 2016 Cxperience concept. The new chrome chevron shapes reaches beyond the new LED headlights and new geometric-pattern grille. The skid plate gets coloured inserts and the company says that it gives the impression of a high-set bonnet.

Apart from the standard changes, the car receives several customisation options. For instance, Citroen is offering up to 70 exterior colour combinations, thanks to the seven body hues, three roof colours, and four colour packs for the door mirror caps, skid plate, and quarter lights which get new graphics. Also, the wheels are offered in a multitude of design choices.

Customisation and personalisation continus on the inside too, with the automaker offering three ‘ambiences’ with distinct colour and material. Two of these options feature new chevron-style stitching for the upholstery.

Enhancing the cabin comfort are the brand’s famous Advanced Comfort seats that were first offered in the C5 Aircross. These seats not only look but feel comfortable, thanks to the 15 mm more foam and new structuring. The car now offers better storage choices, like we have the newly designed centre console with a large storage space covered by a sliding shutter.

On the connectivity front is present the larger than before 9.0-inch touch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Wireless smartphone charging is also offered along with a 12 driver assistance system.

Under the hood configuration remains unchanged with two PureTech three-cylinder petrol and one diesel unti.

The automaker is yet to release the new C3 Aircross revised price tag, however , its delivers are said to commence starting June 2021.
