Christmas 2020: Cars we want Santa to drop by this year; limited edition version
Christmas is just around the corner and so is time to drop our wishlist to Santa Clause. As kids, we asked Santa to bring in fancy toys, remote-control cars, action figures, train sets, and whatnot. Growing up has not changed us much, with our toys now features an actual working engine.
This year it might be a little difficult for Santa to source gifts, due to the ongoing pandemic. And seeing his advanced age and fat belly we suggest he take all the necessary precautions and more. To ease him with the gift buying process, we'll plan on dropping multiple lists, he can choose anyone that is easily available without much hassle. Who considers us, right?
Anyways, moving to our first wish list for Santa, this one might be a bit difficult to source due to the Limited-Edition nature, be likewise make for a superb gift. So without much delay, let's get started -
1. 2021 Bentley Pikes Peak Continental GT by Mulliner
Early December, Bentley announced the 15 units limited Pikes Peak Continental GT by Mulliner. Unique to this limited edition GT is the Radium by Mulliner paintwork. It also benefits from carbon-fibre bodykit, 22-inch gloss black Mulliner Driving Spec wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres, gloss black bumper and wing mirror caps. What's eye-catching is the optional '100' grille. It is powered by a 635PS/900Nm 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 mill that touches the 100 kmph mark in 3.7 seconds and attains a top speed of 333 kmph.
2. Lexus LC Aviation
This one might be a bit easier for Santa to grab, as 70 units of the LC Aviation - in LC 500 or LC 500h form, were produced by the automaker. It is powered by a 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine that churns out a maximum power of 470 hp and a peak torque of 540 Nm. As for the LC 500h, it benefits from a Multi-Stage Hybrid unit with two motor generators with a 3.5-litre V6 mill making 294 hp/348 Nm. One of the major highlights is its carbon fibre reinforced plastic shaped rear wing - created by the Lexus LFA project.
3. Limited edition 2020 MINI Convertible Sidewalk
This open-top four-seater is quite a beauty to admire. MINI developed a special metallic paint called Deep Laguna for the model and the automaker's signature style comes with matching bonnet stripes. Adding to its look is a unique set of 17-inch dual-tone Scissor Spoke light-alloy wheels, and a soft-top roof with a woven-in arrow graphic. Powering this beautiful Mini product is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged mill making 192 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. On the performance front, it completes the 100 kmph sprint in 7.1 seconds and can touch a top speed of 230 kmph.
4. Aston Martin OHMSS DBS Superleggera
Celebrating 50 years of James Bond move - On Her Majesty's Secret Service, 50 On Her Majesty's Secret Service DBS Superleggera special edition cars were announced. On the outside, the OHMSS DBS Superleggera sports a bespoke metal grille with six bright horizontal vanes, unique diamond turned and forged wheels, CF aero blade, and carbon fibre splitter. On the inside, it gets flagship Aston trimmed in black leather with grey blend Alcantara. Also, part of the kit is an optional drinks case that opens via a bright metal clasp and has space for two champagne bottles and four champagne flutes. Powering it is a 5.2-litre 12-cylinder biturbo V12 engine pumping 725 Ps and 900 Nm of torque.
5. Pagani Huayra Tricolore
Built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori, Pagani recently introduced only-three examples of the Huayra Tricolour, each carrying a base price of 5.5 million euros (approx. RM 27 million). Powering this new Tricolour model is a 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo engine making a maximum power of 840 PS at 5,900 rpm and a peak torque of 1,100 Nm from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through an Xtrac seven-speed transverse AMT with an electromechanical differential.
6. Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo
The 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo is a 33 unit limited model by the Italian automaker that pays tribute to the 1967 33 Stradale. The car receives a host of standard equipment that otherwise are optional on the regular 4C Spider model, included in the list is bi-xenon headlamps, Akrapovic dual-mode exhaust, race-tuned suspension, car cover, battery charger, Italian-flag side mirror covers, rear wing, and microfiber suede/leather seat. It is powered by a 1.75-litre inline four-cylinder turbo petrol mill making 237 hp and 350 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 256 kmph, the 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo can touch the 96 kmph mark in 4.1 seconds.
