Chery collaborates with Universal Pictures for the launch of Wicked - OMODA 5 Pink Witch and E5 Green Witch unveiled

KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia has announced an exciting partnership with Universal Pictures to coincide with the release of the much-anticipated musical film Wicked.

As part of the collaboration, Chery has unveiled two custom-designed cars inspired by Wicked: the OMODA E5 Green Witch Edition and the OMODA 5 Pink Witch Edition.

These unique car wraps prominently feature the film's lead characters, Elphaba and Glinda, blending OMODA 5's modern aesthetics with the vibrant essence of the movie.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jon M. Chu, the movie reimagines the land of Oz through a fresh perspective, offering audiences an enthralling take on the untold stories of its iconic characters.

The film boasts a stellar cast, including Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman with emerald-green skin.

Experience the Pink Witch in Malaysia

Malaysian fans can catch a glimpse of the OMODA 5 Pink Witch Edition at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil from November 28 to December 11, 2024.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the themed car and immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Wicked.

This collaboration marks another milestone in Chery's mission to merge culture, innovation, and automotive excellence, offering a unique blend of entertainment and connectivity for a global audience.

The Chery Omoda 5 is available in Malaysia in two variants: the Omoda 5 (C) and Omoda 5 (H). Both are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, delivering 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque.

The Omoda 5 (C) is priced at RM108,800, while the Omoda 5 (H) is priced at RM118,800.

In terms of safety, the Omoda 5 is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
