Check out this unique Kia EV6 made from 350,000 Legos

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia is set to exhibit its design philosophy ‘Opposites United’ at 2023 Milan Design Week to be held from 17th to 23rd April at the Museo della Permanente in Italy. One of the unique creations the South Korean automaker will display at this innovative exhibition is called ‘Brick to the Future’. It is a 1:1 scale model of the Kia EV6 made entirely from Lego bricks.

With this model, Kia celebrates the power of inspiration and imagination and demonstrates the infinite shapes that these iconic LEGO® bricks allow people of all ages to create. According to Kia, ‘Brick To The Future’ EV6 is a “symbol of Kia’s new and inspiring path towards sustainable mobility.”

Made up of 350,000 bricks, this impressive model retains the car’s intricate design details and unique appearance. Each of the bricks emphasises the design alongside conveying the idea that the future of sustainable mobility is to be built ‘brick by brick’. 

The ‘Brick To The Future’ EV6 model is commissioned for Kia Italy by BrickVision, which is an Italian company founded by LEGO® Certified Professional Riccardo Zangelmi. The Zangelmi team took more than 800 hours (over the course of 4 months) to build this model that even has a functioning lighting system.

First introduced in 2021, the EV6 ​​is the first of 15 fully electric models Kia plans to launch globally by 2027. It underpins the brand’s revolutionary Electric Global Modular Platform and 800V architecture fast-charging tech. The EV comes in two battery options - standard-range 58.0 kWh and long-range 77.4 kWh, offering up to 510 km driving range on the WLTP cycle.

In Malaysia, the EV6 is offered in a sole GT-Line AWD variant, priced at RM 300,668 (on the road without insurance).
