Check out these new Mazda Mizuno driving shoes, priced at RM 1,500
KUALA LUMPUR: Undoubtedly, Mazda makes some of the most attractive cars in the world based on its Kodo Soul of Motion design philosophy. Representing the same approach are the brand’s new driving shoes that it introduced in collaboration with the Japanese sports equipment maker Mizuno. The shoes designed specifically for driving are hand-crafted, featuring minimal lines, and their production is limited to just 1,000 pairs.
The Mazda Mizuno shoes are co-created by the companies’ designers with the purpose of providing a driving experience with "light yet stable and comfortable pedal operation". For this, the designers have worked on both style and comfort and come up with a direct pedal feel during driving that connects the driver with the car.
Technically, the Mazda Mizuno shoes have dorsiflexion support for better pedal controllability and precision. Inside, there is a unique uneven surface called Mizuno Cob, which allows the driver to feel the pedals better while giving a more accurate feedback. In order to maintain the fit of the shoe, the designers chose a structured mesh for the Achilles tendon, which smoothly pulls down the driver’s toe while stepping on the pedal.
Another important highlight of the Mazda Mizuno driving shoes is a rounded sole that provides a stable and smoother pedal operation. The outsole has a 3D shape inspired by car technology. According to Mazda, the shoes are comfortable for everyday use thanks to "pod clusters" that make the cushioning better.
To grab the Mazda new driving shoes, the interested folks can visit “Makuake” - a Japanese crowdfunding website, where they are available for pre-order at a price of ¥39,600 (around RM 1,500). The deliveries will commence after March 2022. So, are you interested in buying a pair of Mazda shoes, let us know your thoughts in the comments.
