Check out the 350 units limited 2022 Acura NSX Type S

KUALA LUMPUR: Please welcome the 2022 Acura NSX Type S which is described as the most powerful, quickest, and best handling NSX ever.

The 600 bhp Type S is a very special and limited edition marking the final year of the NSX. The last bit of the bad news ends with Europe won’t get to experience the thrill the car has to offer, as it won’t be offered in the continent.

As mentioned, only 350 units of the 2022 Acura NSX Type S will be made, 50 of which will be available in its homeland, Japan and the rest 300 will go on sale in the United States.

What will power the 2022 Acura NSX Type S?

Under its hood rests a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 mill that gets a power hike, all thanks to the new intercooler, new fuel injectors, and a new set of turbos (the same ones found inside the NSX GT3 Evo racer).

Furthermore, the battery too is enhanced. It now makes a 10% higher output and offers 20% more usable capacity. All the elements together help the new NSX Type S generate a maximum power of 600 bhp along with a peak torque of 667 Nm.

Also, the makers have tweaked the nine-speed DCT, it now gets a 'Rapid Downshift Mode'. The 'Sport' and 'Sport+' modes are also present and offer 50% faster shifts. In total, there are four driving modes - Quite, Track, Sport, and Sport+, all have been revised and so is the car's sound profile.

What else? The car gets a bigger front grille for better airflow, new forged 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros, new six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo callipers. Also, available is a 'Lightweight Pack' that includes carbon discs, carbon engine cover, and carbon interior trim.

Price? The NSX Type S base price tag reads $ 169,500 (approx RM 720k), with the Lightweight Package, it raises to $182,500 (approx RM 775k).
