Cayenne Coupe; Porche’s answer to X6, GLE, and Q8 in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: The Cayenne Coupe is the German sports car manufacturer, Porsche’s, arsenal against the X6, GLE, and Q8 in Malaysia. The car comes with a bunch of upgrades both outside and inside. However, it retains most of the technical highlights of the current standard Cayenne.
Before the arrival of the car, Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG said, “The Coupé includes all the technical highlights of the current Cayenne, but has an even more dynamic design and new technical details that position it as more progressive, athletic, and emotional.”
The difference between the coupe and its standard sibling is clear from the very first look. The coaster has shaper body cuts with ample of strikes present on the side profiles. The rear is also almost completely revamped with an adaptive rear spoiler, which the car shares with Cayenne Turbo. The rear gets an overall bold outlook. Although the car gets a panoramic roof as standard, buyers can also opt for a carbon roof.
Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche had claimed that the new Cayenne Coupe is the sportiest model in the segment. All thanks to the slopier roofline that falls at the rear and separates itself from the spoiler. Furthermore, the body cuts and numerous line running all over the outer surface vaunts the four-wheeler’s aggressive design. The aforementioned optional carbon roof unit is a part of one of the three lightweight sports packages. The Porche Cayenne Coupe specs also include the following modules:
- Lightweight 22-inch GT Design wheels
- Carbon and Alcantara accents
- Seat centres in classic checked fabric
As said that most of the technical specs are the same as that of the standard Cayenne, which means that the upcoming Cayenne Coupe has:
- Extensive connectivity features
- Multiple drive systems
- Digital instrument cluster
Coming to the oily bits, there are two different high-performance engine units available with the Porsche Cayenne Coupe. One being a six-speed turbocharged mill that can churn out a maximum power of 340 PS and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. Other being a 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 unit that delivers a maximum power of 550 PS and a peak torque of 770 Nm.
