BYD Atto 3 gains 1000 bookings in just 10 days!

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of BYD vehicles in Malaysia, Sime Darby Beyond Auto, today announced that its pilot model, Atto 3, managed to acquire 1,000 bookings in just ten days of launch in the country.

The automaker even posted images of delivering BYD Atto 3’s 1000th order to the customer at its TREC Kuala Lumpur showroom. Thus showcasing an optimistic future for the brand and the model in Malaysia.

To further enhance its customer base and strengthen its network base in the country, BYD plans to open new showrooms in the coming years. For instance, in the first half of 2023, BYD will open showrooms in Johor, Penang, and Ara Damansara. By the end of 2024, the automaker aims to open 40 showrooms nationwide.

A bit about the BYD Atto 3 EV

Variants: In Malaysia, the Atto 3 is offered in two variants namely, Standard Range and Extended Range

Powertrain: Powering the Atto 3 is a single electric motor generating a maximum power of 201 hp and a peak torque of 310 Nm.

Performance: The EV completes the century sprint in just 7.3 seconds

Range: The Atto 3 Standard Range from its 49.92 kWh battery offers a range of 354 km, while the Extended Range via its 60.48 kWh battery pack gets a range of up to 420 km

Charging: Both the BYD Atto 3 variants are charged at a maximum rate of 6.6 kW for AC and 70 kW for DC fast charging. The EV is capable of vehicle-to-load function at a rate of 2.2 kW

Design: While on the outside, the EV showcases a sleek and unassuming design, the cabin is designed on a ‘fitness’ theme with a ‘Muscle Streamline Design’, a treadmill-inspired front armrest, and a dumbbell-inspired air-con system

Features: The EVs standard feature list includes - a panoramic sunroof, 12.8-inch rotatable infotainment unit, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, an automatic single-zone air conditioning, 6-speaker sound system, and single-color ambient lighting door handle

Atto 3 Extended Range	RM 167,800

Included in the price tag is a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, and an 8-year/150,000 km drive unit warranty. All this along with a complimentary V2L extension cable, a complimentary portable home charger, and free RM 1,000 Go-to-U EV charging credits.
