BMW Malaysia reveals price for new G60 520i - Yours for RM333k, 2.0-litreT Mild Hybrid 208hp/330Nm, Driving Assistant Plus Suite

KUALA LUMPUR:  BMW Malaysia has officially announced the pricing for its new locally assembled BMW 520i. The premium executive sedan is now available at authorised dealerships nationwide for RM332,800.

First showcased at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, the new BMW 520i is the latest addition to the BMW 5 Series lineup. It features a sleek, sporty exterior design combined with a sophisticated interior that seamlessly blends functionality and elegance.

The new BMW 520i presents a sleek and sporty exterior, characterized by an elongated silhouette, a dynamic rear section, and new 19-inch aerodynamic wheels. The interior perfectly blends elegance and functionality, offering a luxurious yet practical driving experience.

Among the notable features of the new BMW 520i are a two-spoke steering wheel with a flattened bottom and integrated controls, a driver-oriented BMW Curved Display comprising a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display, and an innovative illuminated BMW Interaction Bar that includes AC control and other functions. Additionally, the sedan is equipped with a wireless charging tray and an iDrive controller.

The BMW 520i is powered by a B48 4-cylinder engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system, delivering 208 hp and 330 Nm of torque. This powertrain allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.

Safety is not disregarded in the new 520i, featuring the Driving Assistant Plus suite that includes Active Cruise Control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, and a Lane Departure Warning System.

The 520i is available in several stunning exterior colours, including Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Phytonic Blue Metallic, and Cape York Green Metallic. For the interior, buyers can choose between Veganza Perforated with Quilted Black or Veganza Perforated with Quilted Espresso Brown upholstery.

At the launch event, many potential buyers inquired about the availability of the M Sport variants for the new 5 Series. However, it was revealed that currently, only a single variant is available, which does not include the sportier M Sport kit. This decision leaves enthusiasts who prefer the more dynamic appearance and features of the M Sport package waiting for potential future releases.

Nonetheless, for those interested in the new G60 520i, BMW Malaysia offers an Easy Drive Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, letting you own the new BMW 520i with monthly payments starting at RM3,881, based on an 80% loan over five years.

Customers who register for this plan by June 30, 2024, can also benefit from a RM10,000 cash rebate. Alternatively, the Straight-Line Financing Plan allows ownership with monthly instalments starting at RM3,942, based on an 80% loan over seven years. Terms and conditions apply to both plans.

Owners of the new BMW 520i will enjoy the complete BMW Group Malaysia Premium Ownership experience, which includes BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, as well as BMW Service Online.

The retail pricing for the new BMW 520i is set at RM332,800, with an optional BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package available for RM26,900.
