Dimension-wise, Audi’s wagon concept shares the same specs as the Sportback concept. Both are 4900 mm long, 1960 mm wide, and 1440 mm tall. The only difference between the two comes in the form of rear styling, the Avant E-Tron gets a more angular roof making room for a large boot. As a result, it has a drag coefficient of 0.24, versus Sportback 0.22.
Design language
On the design front, the A6 Avant E-Tron looks like any other Audi, however, it looks a bit different thanks to the electric powertrain underneath the hood. The brand’s signature Singleframe grille seems mostly closed with small L- and U-shaped inlets. At the corner are present functional inlets that create air curtains and improve aerodynamics.
Also part of the kit is ultra-slim headlights with DRLs that owners can configure to their choice and it’s a feature we’ll see in the production version as well. The headlights on the concept can be pulled up and used as a projector.
The wagon’s side profile shows aluminum trim running from the A-pillar, car’s side of the roof, and rear spoiler. Thus, adding an appealing visual effect.
The rear end showcases a full-width taillight with 3D graphics and a prominent diffuser with oval-shaped vents.
Powertrain
Each of the axles at the front and rear is tuned with an e-motor, together they generate 469 hp of maximum power and 800 Nm of peak torque.
The exact battery capacity is not revealed, however, the figures indicate it to be around 100 kWh. The recharging capacity of 800V, 270kW offers it a range of 300 km within 10 minutes.
In less than 25 minutes, this goes from 5 to 80 percent.
On the performance front, depending on the configuration, the production version would be able to complete the century sprint in less than seven seconds. For high-performance models, it could be less than four seconds.
As for the arrival of the production version of the Avant E-Tron Concept, Audi has not given a definite date yet.
