Audi A3 Facelift Spied for the First Time
Kuala Lumpur: A prototype for all new Audi A3 Sedan was spied while being tested with a lot of camouflage. This was for the first time that this car was seen being tested. All this hints towards an update coming in 2016. The automaker has been working towards sharpening the looks of the car through a facelift. These spy shots prove that Audi is trying to make A3 look like A4 and bring it in line with its latest design language.

Towards the front fascia, it has got a new grille which is much flatter than before and has got a defined hexagonal shape. The old headlights have been skipped for new Audi A4-style headlights with a rectangular design. Although nothing much has changed at the rear end but as it is only an early test prototype, we could expect new taillights once it is finalised. Inside, the cabin could include Audi's new instrument cluster which is also seen in the Audi A4, TT and Q7. Apart from that, it would also be integrated with Apple CarPlay and new internal graphics.
Under the hood, it would be powered by a new 1.8-litre turbo petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 190 PS, unlike the current engine's 180 PS. This engine would also consume less fuel, thanks to its cylinder deactivation technology. This updated Audi A3 sedan is expected to make a debut by September next year.
