Aston Martin DB11 Spied For The First Time
Kuala Lumpur: Aston Martin DB11 is all set to make a debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, but before that a single photo of this car is doing the rounds on the Internet. This car is still undergoing some evaluation before it is ready for the roads. The mentioned photo was captured when the car was being taken out for an official photo shoot. The spied model feature a whole new design which looks inspired from the recent Aston Martin concepts. Moreover, DB11 is based on the company's new modular platform which would also be featured in Aston Martin's upcoming model lineup. Last year in April, Aston Martin announced its expansion plans at the Auto Show Shanghai. The automaker revealed its 'Second Century' plan which would focus on company's growth and development. In addition to that, they also announced the introduction of three new lineups. Who knew that they would be hinting towards the advent of all new DB11.
Talking about the car, under the hood it would be powered by a twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine which churns out a maximum power of 600 hp. Further, this engine would be mated with a manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new architecture of Aston Martin DB11 has been constructed with the help of AMG. Going by the spyshots, the car appears to have a long wheelbase along with a different C-pillar treatment.
Here in Malaysia, the British automaker is looking for a long-term commitment and that is why recently it announced Wearnes Automotive as their new representatives. It has been a long time when DB9 was launched in Malaysia, so its successor DB11 could be expected here once it gets launched.
