An electric supercar with over 2000 hp, the Estrema Fulminea
KUALA LUMPUR: The auto industry is shifting its focus from conventional powertrains to electric and the same is very clear from the recent line revisions across the brands (both mainstream and premium). This shift is also prompting the manufacturers to prove the worth/capability of their non-fuel products. The latest example being the Estrema Fulminea, a fully electric supercar with huge power output. Speaking of which, the Estrema Fulminea’s four electric motors churn out over 2000 bhp of power and it has an all-wheel drive.
On the styling front, it seems to be a combo of Ferrari and Corvette C8, a pure treat to our eyes.
What about its arrival and delivery?
This all-new fully electric hypercar recently made its debut and will be produced in limited numbers. As for deliveries, the despatch process will begin from the second half of 2023.
What makes the Estrema Fulminea unique from the rest?
When we talk about fully electric hypercars, names like Lotus Evija and Rimac C_Two come to mind. The Estrema Fulminea now joins the club, however, it is a bit different, as it features the rear combo of solid-state lithium battery packs and ultracapacitors.
Its electric system will have a 100-kWh battery that will offer a driving range of 590 km based on WLTP testing. If all this is true, the Estrema Fulminea will be the very first solid-state battery EV in the market.
Other details
At the moment, we don’t know much about the EV, however, the company has stated a curb weight of 1500 kg along with extremely fast charging. The battery pack will be mounted in a carbon composite enclosure behind the seat with the ultracapacitors on the front axle.
On the performance front, the Estrema will reach 322 kmph in under ten seconds. More information is expected to roll it closer to its launch, so sit tight.
Pricing details
The company will manufacture 61 units in total with the pricing yet to be announced. However, like many of its competitors, it will too have a seven-figure price tag.
