All-new Toyota bZ4x battery EV launched in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a while back when Toyota introduced the bZ4x EV in Thailand and now the all-electric car has been launched in Indonesia.

Priced at Rp. 1,190,000,000 (RM 356,0911), the Indonesia-spec model is powered by a single electric motor making a maximum power output of 204 hp along with a peak torque of 266 Nm. As for the drivetrain, while the Thai-spec gets an all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain, the one in Indonesia supports front-wheel drive.

The e-motor is powered by a 71.4 kWh battery pack which offers a range of 500 km which is 40 km more than the AWD model.

 

Charging duties are handled by a 6.6 kW AC charger and a 150 kW DC Fast Charger; the latter charges the battery from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Built on the automaker’s e-TNGA architecture, the new bZ4x showcases almost the same dimensions as the popular Proton X70. The below-mentioned table gives a fair idea of the same.

The very first Toyota EV in Indonesia comes with an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty. Also, the company claims the EV’s battery to have 90% storage capacity available even for 10 years.
