All-new Mitsubishi Outlander revealed; check full details, new features, and more
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has finally revealed the much-awaited all-new Outlander. The MPV as promised was revealed today on Amazon Live, making it the first car to make a premier on the platform.
The MPV features a new design theme, innovative technology, improved & rugged performance, and premium quality material. Overall, the Outlander has been reinvented and reimagined in every prospect and its sales will commence from April 2021, starting with North America, followed by other markets.
Takao Kato, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation CEO said, "Based on the product concept 'I-Fu-Do-Do', which means authentic and majestic in Japanese, the all-new OUTLANDER has been crafted into a reliable SUV with significantly upgraded styling, road performance, and a high-quality feel to satisfy the needs of customers who want to expand their horizons and take on challenges of every kind," He further added, "With the launch of the all-new OUTLANDER, we will first expand our sales in the North American market and then aim for global growth."
2021 Mitsubishi Outlander design
With the new upgrade, the 2021 Outlander enters the fourth-gen of the series. The MPV has a strong road presence thanks to the use of next-hen Dynamic Shield. Further, the design concept that the MPV follows is 'Bold Stride' that represents its adventurous, bold attitude and confidence to move forward.
The next-gen Dynamic Shield front fascia extends into the LED DRLs, chunky horizontal lines, massive 20-inch wheels, and carved tailgate. Thanks to the thin and sharp DRLs and turn indicators positioned on the upper part of the bumper and beneath placed headlight illuminate the road brightly. The T-shaped horizontal-themed taillight goes with the car's wide look.
The MPV benefits from the company's unique high-brightness Diamond Series paint that includes Black Diamond, Red Diamond, and White Diamond, all of which are newly added to the Outlander profile. Speaking of Black Diamond hue is somewhat special as it consists of three coats, also the high-density shiny layer containing glass makes the vehicle appear jet black.

The Outlander is a family SUV offered in three-row configuration, i.e., seven seats in total. These seats can be arranged in multiple ways to suit passengers and their luggage requirements. The 2nd-row seat comes with a sliding and reclining function, allowing passengers to sit comfortably even when MPV is carrying long items. Apart from a huge boot, the new Outlander features numerous storage spaces.
Ensuring optimum comfort for the driver and front passenger, the seats come with a two-layer urethane structure that is designed to reduce fatigue during long journeys. The second-row features a widened body and enhanced legroom that ensures comfortability and roominess. Further, taking care of passengers' comfort are features like rear door sunshades, seat heaters, and three-zone automatic climate control.
