All-new DS 7 Crossback launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The sole distributor of DS Malaysia, Naza Euro Motors Sdn Bhd has officially launched the new DS 7 Crossback SUV. The car was unveiled by Laurence Noel and Dato Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan, the Head of ASEAN & CEO of Naza Automotive Manufacturing and Deputy Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings, respectively.

The DS 7 Crossback SUV is designed to express excellence and French know-how. It is the perfect harmony of refinement and alchemy of power, thus bringing together technological innovations, premium craftsmanship, and materials as expected for a vehicle of its stature.

• A sporty and distinguished poise, the result of its sporty yet elegent built
• At the front, it showcases horizontal chrome DS WINGS, new gloss black grille with dynamic lines and DS emblem sitting in the centre.
• The DS ACTIVE LED VISION system adapts in the range of road conditions, width, and vehicle speed. It can be set in five modes - High Beam, Town Beam, Motorway Beam, Country Beam, and Adverse Beam
• The LED modules of the car’s ACTIVE LED VISION system are like jewels and emit a purple light when the SUV is unlocked then they pivot to 180 degrees creating a hypnotic effect
  The rear gets DS 3D Full LED rear lights with 3d scale effect with textured black finish

• The cabin is the true reflection of DS Automobile expertise with it being a contemporary vehicle
• On the dash, we see two HD screens, first is an 8-inch touch unit that manages multimedia interface, wireless charging, entire DS CONNECT, and is compatible with Mirrorlink, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The second unit is 1 12.3-inch personalisable screen setup and is dedicated to the instrument cluster
• The cabin of the Performance Line trim gets ‘Basalt Black’ grained Alcantara with Carmine/Gold topstitching. Also, the use of materials like Aluminium for pedals calls for a sporty environment
• The steering wheel, grab handles, airbag cover (centre part of the wheel) are wrapped in leather
• Adding a touch of elegance is the exclusive animated B.R.M R180 watch that has been created in partnership with B.R.M Chronographs

Under the hood configuration -

• Powering the DS 7 Crossback is a 1.6-litre THP 4-cylinder petrol unit that offers 165 hp at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,400 rpm.
• A six-speed automatic gearbox sends power to the front wheels with the SUV recording a top-speed of 220 kmph.

The DS 7 Crossback price tag reads RM 199,888 (on-the-road without insurance) and the SUV is available in three color options - Absolute Red, Platinum Grey, Nera Black, and Pearl White.
