All-new 2022 Honda HR-V: How safe and comfortable is the new Honda SUV?

It was only yesterday that Honda Malaysia launched the all-new HR-V, thus ending the long wait we all have been put through. The demand for the new Honda 5-seater SUV has been strong even before its launch with over 20,000 bookings already in hand which the automakers will fulfil in the next 12 months.

In Malaysia, the third-gen HR-V is offered in four variant options, S, Turbo E, Turbo V, and RS e:HEV, and three engines. And Honda has revealed the distribution of booking between the trims that you can see below along with their respective prices.

In terms of sales volume, the automaker expects the naturally aspirated version to account for 10% and e:HEV for 15% of the sales. Overall, Honda Malaysia expects 16k units per month. Further, each purchase will be accompanied by a 5-year unlimited mileage package. The hybrid model gets a separate lithium-ion battery with an 8-year unlimited mileage warranty.

4 USB ports: Your device battery will never go low with the two front and two back USB ports.

Remote engine start: With just a click of a button on the key, the owner can ignite the engine and cool the cabin before getting inside.

Walk away auto lock: The new HR-V is a smart car, proving it is the walk away auto lock function that senses as the driver walks away and automatically locks the doors.

 

Hands-free power tailgate with walkaway close: Wanna open the tailgate, just raise your foot from below the rear bumper and to close it, just walk away. Simple, right.

Cargo floor box: The cargo comes with a hidden compartment where the owner can store things completely out of sight from the passengers

Multi-functional seat: Like most Honda cars, the new HR-V also comes with highly-usable multi-functional seats with three modes, Utility (for more boot space), Long (for long objects), and Tall ( for placing tall things, it extends the space between the floor & the ceiling).

Honda LaneWatch: It eliminates blind spots and lets the driver see whatever is approaching

Multi-angle rearview camera: Park at ease with this function as it lets you control the surroundings.

Electric parking brake with auto brake hold: With just a switch of a button, the driver can park in a sleek, minimal, and fatigue-reducing manner.

Seatbelt reminder: The driver gets visual confirmation that everything onboard is buckled up.

Hill descent control: This function keeps the SUV’s speed stable while dissenting, thus giving the driver greater control.

Agile handle assist: It will help the driver maintain agility and stability while cornering.

Rear seat reminder: If a passenger or item is left behind on the rear seat, this one will give a visual alert on the meter.

ISOFIX I-Size type: The new HR-V is safe for the kids thanks to the ISOFIX anchors
