All-new 2022 Genesis G80 Sport: New images and details revealed
KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai’s luxury arm, Genesis has released new images and details of the new 2022 G80 Sport model. This sportier-looking variant of the G80 sedan made its debut only a month back and is a fresh take on the 3rd gen G80 that’s now in its second year of sale.
Let’s get into the details of the new Genesis G80 Sport trim, starting with the exterior design and features.
On the outside, the G80 Sport model benefits from full-LED headlamps and DRLs and a dark chrome trim grille at the front. The side profile features 19-inch wheels in a Sport-exclusive design with 245/45R19 front and 275/40R19 rear tyres (with 20-inch optional units), dark chrome windows and side sills. The rear gets rear combination lamps, dark chrome trim boot lid, and dual exhaust outlets (petrol version).
Exterior colour options include eight gloss and two matte shades. The former includes Cavendish Red, Uyuni White, Makalu Grey, Savile Silver, Tasman Blue, Vik Black, Lapis Blue, and Blazing Red. The latter includes Makalu Gray and Verbier White tones.
The cabin as expected from any Genesis car is loaded with comforting and luxurious features along with several high-tech gears. Part of the standard kit are -

Connectivity is taken care of by Bluetooth that connects multiple devices, phone projection, Valet Mode, Genesis Car Play, two USB ports, over-the-air update functionality, and a nine-speaker audio setup. The automaker offers an 18-speaker Lexicon Sound System as an optional feature.
The G80 Sport, however, gets a few additional features like quilted leather seats and carbon-fibre interior trim.
Along with all this Genesis also has an optional kit for the second row, called Comfort Package. It includes an electrically adjustable and ventilated rear seat, rear seat smartphone wireless charging, rear neck pillows, and rear seat smartphone wireless charging. Other optional features are - three-zone air ventilation with an LCD controller for rear seats, a multi-function arm rest, rear door curtains, and an electrically operated rear screen curtain.
