Height |
1,660 mm |
Wheelbase |
2,560 mm |

When compared to its rival, the Proton X50 that occupies the same B-segment space, the GS3 showcases a larger footprint. It is 28 mm longer, 25 mm wider, and 51 mm taller, however, it loses out in terms of wheelbase.
The GS3 offers a boot space of 356-litre that can be expanded to 780-litre by flooding the 60:40 split rear seats flat.
Further ensuring a smooth ride all along irrespective of the terrain is its suspension setup that includes MacPherson Independent units at the front and Torsion Beam at the rear. Enabling the SUV to stop are its disc brakes at both ends.
Powering the new GS3 is a DCVVT 1495 cc mill making a maximum power of 114 PS at 6,000 along with a peak torque of 150 Nm at 4,500 rpm.
The power is sent to the front wheels via an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
GAC claims the GS3 offers a fuel economy of 14.5 kmpl following the NEDC standard.
As can be seen from the images, the GS3 is an attractive car with several useful features. For instance, at the front it gets Halogen headlights with height adjustment, follow-me-home, and an alarm function. The Premium variant gets front fog lamps as well.
On the side, it gets 17-inch aluminum alloys wrapped in 215/60 R17 tyres. A temporary spare wheel is offered with both variants. The power-adjustable ORVM comes with a foldable function in the range-topping trim.
