A glimpse of the Evora 400
Kuala Lumpur: Lotus Evora 400, which is set to make an arrival in Malaysia in October is being teased by the company through a small video which they have posted on the official Facebook page of Lotus. Evora 400 is the new flagship supercar from Lotus which was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor show on 3rd march 2015 by Lotus chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad. This car is designed to combine high performance with legendary Lotus benchmark handling.

This car would be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine with a new supercharger, a water-to-air charge cooler and a redesigned engine management system. This powerful engine would be able to deliver a maximum power of 400 hp which is 55 hp more than the Evora S while the torque delivered by Evora 400 would measure 410 Nm. This engine would be mated with a six-speed manual transmission having a new low inertia flywheel and a redesigned clutch disc for better shift quality. It is also blessed with reworked muffler internals and new engine mounts.
The top speed attained by this car is clocked at 300 kmph and it can reach an acceleration of 100 kmph from a position of standstill in just 4.2 seconds. In UK, the Evora 400 was priced at 72000 sterling pound (RM433,406 before Malaysian taxes). So you can expect the Malaysian price to be somewhere near it.
