2025 Toyota GR Corolla Facelift debuts in Malaysia – Priced at RM367k, here’s what’s new

KUALA LUMPUR:  UMW Toyota Motor has just launched the 2025 GR Corolla in Malaysia, showing it off at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Season 7 finale.

This isn’t just another sporty-looking car—it’s Toyota taking its motorsport know-how and packing it into something you can drive to work or on a weekend thrill ride.

Under the hood, you’ve got a tweaked 1.6-litre turbo engine from the GR Yaris, now delivering 300PS and 400Nm of torque.

That power is paired with the GR-Four AWD system, so whether you’re attacking tight corners or blasting down a straight, the grip and control are next-level.

As usual for now—it’s only available with a manual transmission right now. For purists, that’s music to your ears. But if you’re holding out for an automatic, word is that it might hit Malaysia later.

Looks-wise, it’s got proper street presence with flared wheel arches, an aggressive front bumper, and a signature triple-exhaust setup.

Step inside, and the rally-inspired seats, red accents, and displays showing real-time data like turbo boost and torque split remind you that this isn’t your average hatchback.
