Mazda has kept the exact dimensions of the CX-70 under wraps. However, the automaker has confirmed that it shares the same body as the larger SUV, boasting an impressive length of approx 5 meters.
The inside story is also similar to that of the CX-90, with the omission of the third-row seating. It is adorned with quality materials and finishes with contrast grey metallic inlays and red Nappa leather with red stitch detailing, inspired by the 100th Anniversary Special Edition MX-5. Adding to the convenience are remote-folding rear seats for easy loading, an optimized rear cargo area with compartments and hooks and a unique sub-trunk design for stowing valuables out of sight.
The CX-70 is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a tri-zone climate control system, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, a wireless smartphone charger, and a 360-degree camera.

Additionally, the CX-70 is the first Mazda SUV to feature Alexa integration, enabling hands-free commands for various functions such as changing the temperature, and radio station, and controlling smart home devices.
As for mechanicals, it borrows the 3.3-litre inline-six turbocharged engine from its sibling, which produces 280 hp and 450 Nm of torque in the standard form and 340 hp and 500 Nm in the higher version. While Mazda is yet to unveil the pricing details for the CX-70, the highly-anticipated SUV is scheduled to make its debut in US showrooms come spring 2024.
