2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC350e 4MATIC launched in Malaysia - RM399k, up to 313PS/550Nm, 131km pure electric range

KUALA LUMPUR:  Mercedes-Benz Malaysia delivered an unexpected highlight at the W214 E-Class launch by unveiling the plug-in hybrid variant of the GLC SUV—the GLC 350 e 4MATIC. This latest addition to the GLC lineup, proudly assembled in Pekan, Pahang, further reinforces Mercedes-Benz's dedication to electrification while maintaining its renowned standard of performance.

Priced at RM 398,888 (inclusive of 10% sales tax for Peninsular Malaysia), the GLC 350 e 4MATIC  adds to Mercedes' growing list of luxury plug-in hybrids in the Malaysian market. 

Nadia Trimmel, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia, described the GLC 350 e 4MATIC as a seamless blend of the brand’s signature luxury and cutting-edge technology, offering drivers the best of both worlds. "The new Mercedes-Benz GLC 350 e 4MATIC offers customers the best of both worlds, delivering the seamless performance and reliability of a combustion engine paired with the efficiency and quiet comfort of electric driving. With up to 131 km of electric range (WLTP), drivers can enjoy smooth and quiet city journeys while having the power and versatility for longer distances when needed,” she said.

Over 100 km of Electric Range

The GLC 350 e 4MATIC’s powertrain is a standout feature, combining a 1,999 cc four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor. Just like the W214 E-Class, the petrol engine generates 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 100 kW and 440 Nm of torque. Together, they deliver a system output of 313 PS and 550 Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and dynamic driving experience. 

A high-voltage battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh enables the SUV to achieve an all-electric range of up to 131 km, based on the WLTP cycle. Drivers can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 218 km/h. The vehicle also comes equipped with an 11 kW charger, allowing convenient charging via a Wallbox or public charging stations.

Enhanced Safety and Driving Assistance

The GLC 350 e 4MATIC now features the Driving Assistance Package Plus, offering a range of state-of-the-art safety features. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Steering Assist, and Active Brake Assist ensure a safer driving experience, while features like Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist enhance security on the road. The SUV also includes Active Stop-and-Go Assist and a hands-off warning system for added convenience in traffic conditions.

Sporty Design with AMG Line

On the exterior, the GLC 350 e 4MATIC exudes sporty elegance, featuring the AMG Line package. Its front apron with chrome accents, rear apron with a diffuser design, and 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels give it a bold and sophisticated look. The SUV is further equipped with a panoramic sliding sunroof and Mercedes-Benz’s DIGITAL LIGHT system, making it instantly recognizable on the road.

 Luxury Meets Functionality Inside

Inside, the GLC 350 e 4MATIC continues the AMG Line theme, offering a luxurious interior with black ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfiber upholstery. The multifunction sports steering wheel, crafted in nappa leather, adds a touch of sportiness, while the Burmester 3D surround sound system elevates the driving experience with premium audio quality.

For everyday practicality, the GLC offers a luggage capacity of 490 litres. Parking is made easier with the Parking Package, which includes a 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, ensuring optimal visibility during tricky maneuvers.
