2024 Maserati GranTurismo launched in Malaysia, starting from RM 738k

KUALA LUMPUR: Naza Italia, the official distributor of Maserati cars, in Malaysia, has brought back the iconic GranTurismo to Malaysia. The latest version is the all-new second-generation GranTurismo, which was globally revealed in October 2022.

The all-new 2024 Maserati GranTurismo is currently offered in two versions in Malaysia - Modena and Trofeo. Later this year, a third variant, the all-electric Folgore, will also join the lineup.

Let’s know the 2024 Maserati GranTurismo in detail, starting with the price. 

Price 

The GranTurismo Modena carries a price tag of RM 738,800, while the GranTurismo Trofeo is priced at RM 878,800, excluding local duties and taxes, customisation options, and insurance. Both prices include a 3-year standard warranty coverage without any mileage limitations.

Engine specifications

Both variants are powered by the brand’s new Nettuno 3.0-litre twin-turbo 90-degree V6 engine, which produces varying output levels depending on the model. Positioned at the heart of the Modena variant, the engine generates a maximum power of 490 hp and a peak torque of 600 Nm. In contrast, the same engine is re-tuned to produce up to 550 hp and 650 Nm in the Trofeo.

The power is sent to all four wheels via a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission mated to an all-wheel-drive system. Speaking of the performance, the Modena runs from zero to 100 kmph in less than 3.9 seconds, while the Trofeo accomplishes the same task in 3.5 seconds. Their respective top speeds are rated at 302 kmph and 320 kmph.

Dimensions

Based on a new modular platform, the new Maserati GranTurismo measures 4,959 mm in length, 1,957 mm in width, and 1,353 mm in height. The wheelbase is measured at 2,929 mm. It is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and 21-inch alloy wheels at the rear.

Exterior

The design language of the new GranTurismo reminds one of its predecessors. All of its proportions, lines, and even the overall shape look so familiar. However, it also borrowed a few details from the MC20 sports cars. It features an oval-shaped Maserati grille with the ‘Trident’ logo in the middle, MC20-like vertical headlamps, flush-ish door handles, and slim tail lights. With the sportier Trofeo variant, customers get carbon-fibre accents on the bumpers, carbon-fibre side skirts, and gloss black grille slates. 

Interior

The Maserati GranTurismo interior is designed with luxury and comfort in mind. It boasts an elegant design, premium materials, and advanced features, ensuring a refined driving experience for all occupants. The key highlights include -

• 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster
• 8.8-inch panel for the climate control system
• A small digital round clock on the dashboard
• Maserati Intelligent Assistant
• Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and Alexa integration.
• Sonus Faber premium audio system with 19 speakers & 1,195-watt amplifier
• Head-up display (optional)
• Camera-based rear-view mirror (optional)

Safety 

The 2024 GranTurismo benefits from several driver assistance features including adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, autonomous emergency braking, dynamic road view, rear emergency braking, emergency lane keeping, and more.
