2024 JAECOO J7 SUV launched in Malaysia - Off-road ready SUV,1.6-litre turbo 194hp/290Nm, from RM139k

KUALA LUMPUR: Today marks the official launch of the JAECOO J7, an SUV that combines sophistication, advanced features, and off-road capabilities, offering a new and compelling choice in the crowded Malaysian SUV market.

Offered in two variants, the J7 is competitively priced, starting at RM138,800 for the front-wheel-drive version and RM148,800 for the all-wheel-drive version.

But if you order now, the first 300 customers for the front-wheel-drive model will receive an upgraded 14.8" infotainment screen as well as 10 years or up to 1 million kilometer engine warranty. This early bird promo warranty also applies to the AWD variant as well existing bookings and bookings placed up to 21 July 2024.

The J7 boasts dimensions of 4,500 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,672 mm, positioning it firmly within the C-segment SUV category. This segment also includes popular models like the Proton X70 and Toyota Corolla Cross, making the J7 a competitive option in this well-regarded class.

The J7 is perfectly equipped to meet the demands of the Malaysian lifestyle with its All-Road Drive Intelligent System (ARDIS), featuring seven terrain modes, including sand, mud, and snow. Its 540-degree camera system offers a comprehensive 3D view on a 14.8-inch infotainment screen(13.2" for 2WD variant), making off-road navigation seamless.

Additionally, the SUV's impressive water-wading capability of 600 mm ensures it can tackle a variety of environments with ease. The J7 also comes with 19” two-tone alloy wheels, LED headlamps, and daytime running lights, enhancing both its functionality and stylish appearance.

Under the hood, the J7 features a 1.6TGDI engine delivering 194 HP and 290Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its all-wheel-drive system adapts to changing conditions in real-time, excelling in various off-road segments. The J7 also impresses with its refined noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance, ensuring a smooth ride whether on rugged terrain or city roads.

Inside, the J7 offers a luxurious cabin featuring a 14.8-inch panoramic screen powered by the Qualcomm 8155 flagship chipset and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV is equipped with an interactive windshield head-up display (W-HUD), a see-through chassis feature, and an industry-leading 1.1 m² panoramic sunroof.

Additional comforts include leather-upholstered all-sense seats with ten adjustment functions, a premium Sony sound system, 50W wireless fast charging, 64-color rhythmic ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and a powered tailgate.

Constructed with over 80% high-strength steel, the J7 minimizes flexing and noise even under extreme conditions. It boasts 21 advanced safety features, including automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, emergency lane keeping, an intelligent evasion system, curve speed assistance, and lead car departure notification. The J7's robust safety measures have earned it a prestigious five-star safety rating from the EU Safety Commission.

The JAECOO J7 is offered in four colours, Model Green, Khaki White, Carbon Crystal Black and Moonlight Silver.

Without the early-bird promotion, the JAECOO J7 is covered by a 7 year or up to 150,000km mileage warranty.

Delivery of the JAECOO J7 to customers will commense as soon as August 2024.
