First introduced in 1984, the classic off-roader is one of the brand’s longest-running nameplates that is still on sale in a few markets, including Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.

- This engine exclusively comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission for the first time; it will be offered across the range, including four body styles and three grades
- The new powertrain joins the ongoing 205 PS/430 Nm 4.5-litre V8 turbo diesel, which comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission
- In terms of styling upgrades, the Land Cruiser 70 Series benefits from an all-new front fascia with a new grille design, rounded headlamps, and prominent Toyota badging
- Also, parts of the upgrade are - new black front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels, and restyled horizontal tail lights
- Among the interior revisions are a redesigned central console, a new 4.2-inch instrument multi-info display, and a new 6.7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
