2022 Mitsubishi Airtrek revealed with a 520 km range
KUALA LUMPUR: After revealing a set of teaser images of its latest SUV, the Airtrek, back in July, Mitsubishi has now unveiled the model in full. Developed under the GAC-Mitsubishi Motors joint-venture, the EV takes the centre stage at the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show this week. It is said to be a revamped, rebadged version of GAC's Aion V. The e-motor is paired with a 70-kWh lithium battery pack that offers a cruising range of 520 km (based on the CLTC cycle). As for the charging, the automaker claims that EV gets charged from 30 to 80 % in 43 minutes when using DC charging. The EV also supports AC charging of up to 6.6 kW and 11 kW.
Inside the cabin, the Mitsubishi electric car is equipped with a free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, the four-spoke steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate system, PM2.5 air filter, powered front seats, and a powered liftgate.
As for safety, the Airtrek specs sheet includes several advanced driver-assistance systems like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, a blind-spot monitor, front collision warning, 360-degree camera, and more.
The all-new Mitsubishi Airtrek is expected to go on sale in China next year at a price ranging from 210,000 (RM 137,660) to 240,000 yuan (RM 157,325).
