The teaser previews the 2022 Everest in digital camouflages designed by Lee Imrie, a designer at Ford Australia. It shows key design cues including a muscular front design featuring a 3D grille, LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, and a Ford badge. However, the side profile looks much similar to the ongoing model with large alloys, roof rails, and upright pillars. Different LED tail lights connected by a black trim at the rear round off the upcoming SUV’s design.

As for the interiors, the Everest facelift may borrow cues from the Ranger, including a portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system and more connected car technology features. Other onboard features onboard should comprise a digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, a branded sound system, tri-zone climate control. A panoramic sunroof will also be there.

In terms of safety, Ford is likely to pack the upcoming SUV with advanced safety systems and Advanced Driver Assistance such as rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, autonomous emergency braking system, and so on.

Under the hood of the 2022 Ford Everest, we may find a 2.0-litre four-cyl twin-turbo EcoBlue diesel mill or a new 3.0-litre V6 turbo unit. The former generates a maximum power output of 170 PS while the latter delivers 257 PS along with a peak torque of 600 Nm. A 10-speed automatic transmission could be paired with these engines as standard.

No information as to when the new Everest will hit the local market is available at this moment.
