2021 Perodua Ativa/D55L official images and new details are out

KUALA LUMPUR: After a long wait, Perodua has finally opened the ordering books of its much-anticipated D55L SUV that is said to be based on the Daihatsu Rocky. Well, this is not it. Shortly after bookings were open, the leaked brochure of the upcoming model started circulating over the internet, unveiling the name of the SUV - ‘ATIVA’ with the tagline “Activate Every Destination.”

The leaked brochure of the 2021 Perodua Ativa also revealed a number of its key specifications, including the engine and safety equipment. However, the same information appeared on Perodua’s official website later on, but without the Ativa name. So let’s check out all the available info.

Perodua Ativa will be offered in three variants - X, H, and AV, with a starting price of RM 62,500. The variant-wise price list is as follows:

Moving to the oily bits, the automaker has confirmed that the new Ativa will be powered by a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-pot petrol engine as expected. The sole transmission option available with the engine is a CVT-type automatic that transmits power to the front wheels. Speaking of the 2021 Perodua Ativa fuel consumption, the company claimed mileage of 18.9 km per litre (5.29 litres per 100 km).
