2021 Kia Carnival likely to launch in July
KUALA LUMPUR: It seems that Kia has decided to revamp its complete portfolio for the new decade. The South Korean automaker has been working on the revised versions of almost all the models ranging from Soluto to the Stinger. But the models that still waiting to be redesigned are Kia Carnival and Kia Forte. Now, as per the information reported by motorgraph.com, Kia is prepping to launch the 2021 Kia Carnival in South Korea in July this year.
As per the leaked information, the all-new Kia Carnival minivan will be based on a new platform adopted from the latest Optima and Sorento. According to the revealed dimensional numbers, the new minivan is not mini at all. It will be 5,155 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,740 mm tall, and will have a wheelbase of 3,090 mm. So, as compared to the existing version, it will be 40 mm longer, and 10 mm wider.
The camouflaged version of 2021 Kia Carnival has been spotted a few times, but it did not reveal much about the design language. Though, it is likely to adopt the designing cues from its sibling Sorento and Optima. It may feature a sharp nose, revised taillights, and new aesthetics for the interior.
Under the hood, the 2021 Kia Carnival could offer a range of powertrains including a 2.5-litre turbo producing 281 PS of maximum power, a 1.6-litre turbo-hybrid churning out 230 PS, and a revised version of 2.2-litre CRDi turbo-diesel capable of generating 202 PS.
Amid all these speculations and leaked information circulating all around, Kia is completely quiet on this matter. Looking at the present coronavirus outbreak in the world, including Korea, we can say that the expected launch could hamper.
