2021 Honda CR-V Black Edition launched in Thailand
KUALA LUMPUR: It is no secret that Honda is working on the next-generation CR-V that might hit the global market in 2022 as a 2023 model year. Well, before that here we can see a fascinating iteration of the ongoing generation model, dubbed as the Honda CR-V Black Edition. The automaker recently introduced the new version in the Thailand market with all dark finishes inside and out.
On the exterior, the 2021 Honda CR-V Black Edition gets a black chrome grille, sporty black front bumper with black chrome trim bars. and a sporty black rear bumper. It is decked up in Crystal black shade with black roof rails, a panoramic electric sunroof, sporty black side mirrors, and 17-inch black alloy wheels on the sides. Marking the car’s exclusivity is a Black Edition badge at the back.
The lighting setup comprises LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED Sequential front turn signals, LED tail lights. Sport front fog lamps are also a part of the kit.
Just like the exterior, the interior of the CR-V Black Edition sports a dark sporty mood with a black tone design. The large console made from black wood grain gets Piano Black finishing, while the front passenger seats wrapped in leather incorporate a special Black Edition mark. Included in the car’s creature comforts are a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity and Siri voice control, wireless charger, hands-free powered tailgate. automatic air conditioning, auto-retractable side mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.
For safety, the car is equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies like a blind-angle display system, Honda LaneWatch, an electric parking brake system, an auto brake hold, and an automatic car lock system.
On the mechanical front, the SUV incorporates a 2.4-litre DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder, 16-valve gasoline engine under the hood. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 173 hp at 6,200 rpm and a peak torque of 224 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via a CVT automatic transmission.
The Honda CR-V Black Edition is now on sale in Thailand at a starting price of 1,467,000 baht (RM 187,183).
