Volkswagen Malaysia recently rolled out the all-new 2020 Passat in a solitary 2.0-litre TSI Elegance variant. Earlier, the D segment sedan was available in three trims, two of which have been axed for the current version. As part of the refresh, the new Passat receives styling tweaks on the outside, highlighted by a restyled twin-slat grille in front and LED headlamps with updated graphics. Changes are also visible on the side and rear facets that now come with larger multi-spoke alloys and new tail-lamps respectively among other subtle revisions.

The 2020 Volkswagen Passat specs sheet benefits from a high displacing four-cylinder petrol engine, calibrated to churn out 190 PS and 320 Nm torque. A DSG 7-speed direct shift transmission is conjunct to the turbocharged mill, claimed to deliver over 14 km per litre.

A customizable three-view split-screen function, voice and gesture control are also part of the pack. In addition, it also benefits from a new wireless AppConnect system with wireless Apple CarPlay.
