2020 SC Camaro makes 1000 horsepower

KUALA LUMPUR: The ZL1 is the most potent Chevrolet Camaro model one could buy, well at least in the US. This particular trim is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 supercharged engine that makes a maximum power of 650 hp along with a peak torque of 800 Nm. However, if this isn’t enough power for you, then SVE, aka, Specialty Vehicle Engineering has just the thing for you.

The SVE has launched the 2020 SC Camaro/Yenko that not only gets new and striking looks but can also make 1000 hp of power. Very much like the Yenko Corvette, the 2020 SC Camaro is also exclusively built by the SVE. It also displays huge power modes with subtle styling upgrades. The 1000 hp of power is developed by a 6.2-litre LT1 VY8 mill that is tuned to displace 6.8-litre and also gets a big supercharger. Ensuring the mill is capable of handling the power, the car gets an upgraded fuel system, forged piston, and crankshaft.

The 2020 Yanko gets an electronic limited-slip differential and Magnetic Ride Control, as standard fitment. Improving the handling further, the SVE has fitted the car with a new stabilizer bar and bespoke bushings. Giving the Camaro better traction and retro appeal are the new 20-inch Torq Thrust wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.

On the exterior front, the 2020 Yenko/SC Camaro features carbon fibre lip, carbon fibre hood, with the outer design not differentiating much from the standard Camaro SS 11 LE model. Making sure that the people on the road quickly know it’s the 1000 hp Camaro/SC, the car features ‘SC/Yenko’ graphics and hood stripes.
